Spicewood, Texas — In a heartfelt response to the unimaginable loss caused by the Hill Country floods, country music legend George Strait has just announced that he will be hosting a special benefit event to support the victims and families impacted by the disaster.

Strait, who was born and raised in Texas and still calls the state home, said in a personal statement, “This land has given me everything — it raised me, made me, and it’s hurting now. It’s time to give back.”

The benefit — tentatively titled “Strait From the Heart: A Night for Texas” — will bring together a lineup of iconic country artists and friends in a night of music, unity, and hope. All proceeds will go directly to relief organizations and families affected in Kerr County and surrounding areas, where over 100 lives have been lost and many more remain missing.

While the exact date and venue are still being finalized, sources close to Strait say the event will likely take place in Austin or San Antonio, and be both in-person and livestreamed, allowing fans across the country — and around the world — to contribute and stand with Texas.

In his announcement, Strait added,
“This isn’t just about raising money. It’s about raising hearts. It’s about saying to every family grieving tonight: you are not alone.”

Fans, fellow musicians, and community leaders have already begun showing support, with many pledging to join the event or match donations in the days ahead.

As Texas begins the long road to healing, the King of Country is once again proving that his greatest strength isn’t just in his music — it’s in his heart.
